Kevin and I made the long drive home for the holiday. It may have been a long drive, but it was well worth it to spend time with family and friends. We headed back east on Thursday afternoon and stopped in St. Louis for the night. Jerry and Marta had a room waiting for us. Kevin was excited to get up early for fishing with his dad. They had a successful father-son outing!
Then we hit the road again to get to Newton for a fun filled day with Mom, Dad, Brooke, Erica and Mike! We did a little fishing and shooting. Kevin was excited to get some use out of his gun.
Mom and dad planned a great BBQ with family and friends! It was really awesome to see everyone.
Saturday we had to get on the road again and get back to St. Louis for a wedding. Tiffany (the bride) is one of Kevin's great childhood friends and we were very excited about being there for her and Andy's(the groom) big day! Debbie went to the wedding and reception with us, so it was great to be able to spend the day with her.
And finally, on Sunday we woke up and got ready for another big day in St. Louis. We caught a Cardinals game, saw the airshow and watched the fireworks downtown. Mom, Dad, Brooke, Erica and Mike met us downtown for all the festivities.
It was definitely a weekend packed full of things going on. We had a blast and look forward to getting back to see everyone again soon! Thanks for a great 4th everyone!
